Both Machine Learning and Deep Learning are nesting dolls or subsets of a larger concept known as Artificial Intelligence with Deep Learning fitting in Machine Learning and Machine Learning fitting in Artificial Intelligence. Deep Learning is used for image processing, natural language processing, and other types of data along the same vein, ultimately it is used for a software to learn and interact with tasks or consumers. Machine Learning is used more with traditional thoughts of data, i.e. customer demographics, and is used for various different types of modelling; i.e. predictive, classification to name a couple.
